Built in 1906, this awe-inspiring Wyoming mansion (333 Oliver Road) better known as the Edwin R. Stearns House has been a meticulous restoration project for the current owner.
The massive 10 bedroom, 7 bathroom home was built for Edwin Stearns, co-owner of well-known, Cincinnati-based textile mill and mattress manufacturing plant Stearns & Foster. It has undergone over $1,000,000 in renovations while being restored to its original opulence.
According to listing agent Kristine Green, it's been a labor of love for current owner Kay Landers, who purchased the home in 2002 and has searched the world for pieces from the same era to bring it back to its original splendor.
Green says it's now about 90% original, including three Rookwood fireplaces (out of the home's nine total), signed Tiffany shades, silver sconces and a three-story non-operational pipe organ the focal point of the house.
The home is priced at $1.4 million and features original quartersawn oak floors, windows upon windows welcoming an abundance of light and 11-and-a-half-foot ceilings throughout the first floor, as well as stunning mahogany coffered ceilings.
The updated basement features a rathskeller, bar and a half bath for entertaining. The home is graced with a wrap-around veranda garnishing the exterior, offering views of the nature-filled, nearly 4-acre yard.
