Yucca

700 Fairfield Ave., Bellevue
The team behind Covington’s popular new brunch spot Cedar are opening their second Northern Kentucky restaurant in Bellevue’s former Fairfield Market space this spring. The eatery, like Cedar, will serve brunch, but this establishment will have a Latin American-inspired menu, featuring items like chilaquiles and Cubano sandwiches and a full cocktail menu.

All Hail the Biscuit

887 1/2 State Route 28, Miami Township
Biscuits are this shop’s bread and butter. All Hail the Biscuit will feature breakfast and lunch dishes such as sandwiches, salads, and scratch-made buttermilk biscuits. The restaurant, owned by Pickles & Bones Barbecue’s Josh and Nicole House, was once just an occasional pop-up that had customers lined up around the block, but it has since reached its Kickstarter goal and plans to open sometime this fall.

Oakley Fish House

3036 Madison Road, Oakley
Oakley’s former Habits Cafe has reemerged as a seafood-centric eatery called Oakley Fish House. The new spot offers a wide variety of both sea and land meats, including oyster flights and grilled Spanish octopus for shareables, plus entrees including stuffed sole, ribeye steak, shrimp gnocchi and pistachio and herb salmon. The owners formerly owned upscale seafood restaurant Mount Adams Fish House, which closed in 2011.

Parlor Pizza Project

3392 Erie Ave., Hyde Park
Parlor Pizza Project, founded by Alex Plattner, kicked off its Sunday Slice pop-up at Oakley Wines in late August, featuring two or three different 10-inch pizza options weekly, which guests could either enjoy at the shop or take to-go. After many sold-out nights and success, Plattner has announced plans to open his very own brick-and-mortar pizza shop just down the road in Hyde Park. Pizza Parlor Project's petite shop is slated to open early this February and will focus on carry-out pizzas and salads.

Pampas Argentine Gastropub

2038 Madison Road, O'Bryonville
Taking inspiration from his heritage, Ignite Entertainment founder Juan Imeroni opened Pampas Argentine Gastropub, a new eatery that offers an approachable taste of the Argentine countryside in November. The ambiance blends the culture and flavors of two of his other local establishments: Che and Butcher and Barrel. Chef Patrick Bowling — formerly of Jean-Robert's Table and Restaurant L — is at the helm. The menu features meat dishes inspired by the “gaucho” experience in the flatlands of South America as well as salads and charcuterie. They boast a diverse list of cocktails as well, including the simple yet traditional Fernet y Coca.

Copper & Flame

1115 Vine St., Over-the-Rhine
Become your own bartender with Copper & Flame’s pour-your-own-drink concept, slated to open in Over-the-Rhine this spring. Choose from over 68 local and national craft beers, draft wine and cocktails. Complete your night by ordering from the bar’s extensive menu of elevated Central/South American and Southeast Asian street food. The bar inhabits the space formerly occupied by game bar The Rook.

Drip Coffee Lounge

2927 Colerain Ave., Camp Washington
There’s something new brewing in Camp Washington. Sporting a multicultural African-fusion menu with a modern spin, Drip Coffee Lounge features a full coffee bar with locally roasted specialties. But coffee isn’t the only thing on the menu. The shop also has teas, wine, beer and cocktails in addition to “quick bites,” such as wraps, sambusa and chicken suya satay. While an opening date has yet to be announced, locals should be on the lookout for the upcoming hot spot.

Taqueria 251

4110 Hamilton Ave., Northside
Opened in the fall, this Northside eatery offers traditional Mexican flavors with an “avant-garde twist” and a focus on the experience in addition to the food. Owned by Emilio Santos, the menu features items like tacos, tostadas, churros and esquites — plus a full cocktail menu and draft and canned beers.

Westwood Nation Kitchen & Bar

3435 Epworth Ave., Westwood
Nation Kitchen & Bar offers a variety of burgers and sandwiches like the popular Nation burger, with a 6-ounce brisket patty, smoked cheddar, whiskey barbecue sauce, onion straws and horseradish aioli on a challah bun. After slingin’ patties in Pendleton since 2015, the Best of Cincinnati award-winning eatery opened a second location in Westwood in the revitalized Junietta Avenue Firehouse in October.

Founded by owner Richard Cooke, the organizer of Cincinnati's LGBTQ+ Tea Dance series, E19 Lounge Bar & Discothèque — located across from Rhinegeist — opened in October. In a press release (pre-pandemic), Cooke described the establishment as bringing together "high-caliber music, exceptional customer service, and top-notch entertainment in a beautiful, inspiring setting."

Another Broken Egg Cafe

3880 Paxton Ave., Hyde Park
Another Broken Egg Cafe, known for its delicious twists on classic dishes, has arrived in Cincinnati and is set to officially open on Jan. 25. On the menu, you’ll find Southern-inspired entrees like the Bananas Foster pancakes, chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros, and the Southwest chop salad, made with an artisanal flair. The Winter Selections menu features Lobster City grits, croissant French toast, corned beef and Brussels hash, and the Carrot “Pan” cake stack. Another Broken Egg Cafe also offers a variety of signature cocktails including mimosas, Bloody Marys and spiked cold brews. This location will be the second in the Greater Cincinnati area, and fourth in Ohio.

Taste of Belgium

7800 Montgomery Road, Kenwood
Taste of Belgium has opened a new bistro location — its sixth in Greater Cincinnati — in Kenwood Square in a former Ruby Tuesday. The space was renovated before opening, with the addition of a second patio. Currently the indoor dining space is closed, guests are welcome to dine on their enclosed outdoor patio; inside will open in February. The menu mimics other Taste of Belgium bistros, with frequently changing "LTO" or limited-time offerings. They also offer a slew of rare Belgian beers and a bakery serving traditional Liege waffles to-go and other favorites.

Pendalo Wingery

1211 Broadway St., Pendleton
The bird is back in Cincinnati's Pendleton neighborhood. The former 3 Points space has been taken over by Braxton Brewing Company and the neighboring former CHX location is now a chicken-wing-centric joint called Pendalo Wingery, located within the brewery. Folks can choose from either traditional (breaded or naked), boneless wings or cauliflower wings in either orders of six, 10 or 15, or opt for crispy or grilled chicken tenders in three, six or nine-count orders. Sauces range from sweet to spicy with options including Pineapple BBQ, Alabama Pickle, Ginger Teriyaki, Korean Fire or Nah Bruh XXX, available tossed with wings or on the side.

Flow Koffee + Kombucha

Flow Koffee + Kombucha has your caffeine craze and health kick covered. The new coffee shop offers a full coffee menu in addition to kombucha on tap. Kombucha, a fizzy, fermented sweet tea with a sour twist, has recently gained a lot of coverage in the media for its supposed benefits of digestive health. Flow Koffee + Kombucha’s quirky decor also adds to the chilled atmosphere of the cafe.

Four Entertainment Group — the minds behind Keystone Bar & Grill, The Stretch, Igby’s, The Sandbar, The Righteous Room, Rosedale OTR, The Lackman, et al — have launched two new dining options in Greater Cincinnati, available for carry-out and delivery only, one of them being Leaf + Ladle. The eatery offers "creative salads and made-from-scratch gourmet soups that emphasize locally-sourced ingredients," says 4EG.

Four Entertainment Group — the minds behind Keystone Bar & Grill, The Stretch, Igby’s, The Sandbar, The Righteous Room, Rosedale OTR, The Lackman, et al — have launched two new dining options in Greater Cincinnati, available for carry-out and delivery only, one of them being Danny Boy Burger, "a retro-style burger concept that specializes in hamburgers, Impossible burgers, crispy fries, and milkshakes."
