Molly Malone’s Kegs and Eggs and St. Patrick’s Day Party
Molly Malone’s is the closest you can get to the full Irish experience without paying for a flight ticket. This corner of Covington turns into Dublin on Sunday when Molly Malone’s goes big for Saint Patrick’s Day. Everything kicks off with kegs and eggs at 7 a.m. If you’re one of the first 100 people through the door, you get a souvenir shirt. Then spend the rest of the day on all three floors of the space, and in an outdoor tent, drinking Irish beers, eating Irish food, watching Irish dancers and listening to Irish bands. And, of course, in Irish fashion, Molly’s will have The Emerald Society Police & Fire, Pipes & Drums playing sounds of Ireland throughout the day and a group of Irish dancers as well. A new law in Covington allows bars to sell alcohol as early as 6 a.m. on Sundays during special events, with permission. Great news for this Sunday Saint Patrick’s Day.7 a.m.-midnight, March 17.
