Newport on the Levee is getting a facelift. Cincinnati-based North American Properties purchased the Levee in December 2018 and is revamping the 360,000-square-foot space with new dining options, experiences and more that will "entertain guests for 18 hours a day," according to a release.

The renderings from Reztark Design Studio are not final but are meant to give an idea of how the project will "come alive" as NAP works to develop it over the next 18 months.

“Newport on the Levee has been a central location for connecting the community since it opened in 2001,” says Tim Perry, Managing Partner of NAP Acquisitions, in a release. “Over the last several months we’ve taken the time to understand what truly makes Newport on the Levee special to our office tenants, surrounding residents, and regional guests.  We are excited to re-introduce the Levee with renewed relevance, offering enhanced restaurant and entertainment options to be announced for freshly defining its place.  People celebrate — and make — milestones here, and we’re reclaiming it as a beloved destination ready to come back to life, to re-enchant guests and to welcome new generations.”

There are already barriers in place in the former Mitchell's Fish Market space and construction will begin on the Levee in earnest in late summer and continue through 2020.

NAP has said it will announce new restaurant and retail tenants over the next few months. For more info, visit newportonthelevee.com.
