Since 2014,
Condado Tacos' build-your-own-taco concept has taken Columbus taco-loving population by storm, starting with their first location on North High Street. Today, the brand has expanded to more than a dozen locations across Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Indianapolis and Detroit, including its first local location at The Banks, which opened in April 2018.
Condado has opened a second Cincinnati taco spot at 3329 Vandercar Way in Oakley conveniently close to MadTree's taproom.
Condado has been expanding quickly, and were looking forward to adding a second Cincinnati location in November. The Oakley community has great art, food and local breweries which is what got us excited to open there," says Joe Kahn, Founder and CEO of Condado.
The regional chain commits to the build-your-own tacos concept down to the type of tortillas. The formula is simple: check off what you want on your taco via the printed menu, then your creation is brought out to you. For protein, customers have several options (even multiple ones for vegetarians) including housemade chorizo, Thai chili tofu, barbecue pulled jackfruit, tequila-lime steak and more. Theyve got toppings, too; cilantro and onions, jicama and cabbage slaws, plus plenty of cheeses (queso fresco, Middlefield smoked cheddar and Chihuahua).
Condado also offers myriad tequila and mezcal options, bourbon and "weird yet delicious rotating monthly specials and a brightly colored street art vibe," according to a release.
