Austin and Tony Ferrari of downtown's Ferrari Barber & Coffee Co. and the Contemporary Arts Center's forthcoming Fausto cafe recently opened up their long-awaited Camp Washington coffee shop Mom 'n 'em.
The coffee shop is an homage to their mother, Theresa Ferrari. The team explains the name behind their shop on their website:
The name 'Mom ‘n ‘em' comes from the radio station 700 WLW, where their father use to listen almost every other day. One of the broadcasters would ask the other, 'Hey, how is your mom ‘n ‘em doing?' Eventually the saying started flowing through the family and so it became a reality at the coffee shop.Not only does Mom 'n 'em serve an assortment of craft coffee, tea and housemade sodas, they also offer a menu of sweets, toasties and plenty of tinned fish, plus a curated wine selection and cocktails like a gin and tonic and negroni.
