Austin and Tony Ferrari of downtown's Ferrari Barber & Coffee Co. and the Contemporary Arts Center's forthcoming Fausto cafe recently opened up their long-awaited Camp Washington coffee shop Mom 'n 'em.
The coffee shop is an homage to their mother, Theresa Ferrari. The team explains the name behind their shop on their website:
The name 'Mom n em' comes from the radio station 700 WLW, where their father use to listen almost every other day. One of the broadcasters would ask the other, 'Hey, how is your mom n em doing?' Eventually the saying started flowing through the family and so it became a reality at the coffee shop. Not only does Mom 'n 'em serve an assortment of craft coffee, tea and housemade sodas, they also offer a menu of sweets, toasties and plenty of tinned fish, plus a curated wine selection and cocktails like a gin and tonic and negroni. Mom 'n 'em is located at 3128 Colerain Ave., Camp Washington, facebook.com/momnemcoffee.
