The 29th Newport Italianfest took place this past weekend at Newport on the Levee's Festival Park.
The beloved event honors the Tri-State's Italian heritage with live music, historical displays and tons and tons of food.
The foodie fest, which was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, averages 100,000 visitors from the Greater Cincinnati area and beyond. And while it typically has been held in June, fest organizers pushed this year's dates to July to allow more time to accommodate for COVID-related changes.
This year's event included a family photo booth featuring Newport's Italian history, a cooking contest and Italian musicians.
Restaurants including Pagano's, Pompilios, LaRosa's, Trotta's, Alfio's and more provided authentic eats, which ranged from arancini to alfredo and zeppole to cannoli.
