Condado Taco is a Build-Your-Own Taco Spot With Bangin’ Margaritas on The Banks


Since 2014, Condado’s build-your-own-taco concept has taken Columbus’ taco loving population by storm, starting with their first location on North High Street. After finding success, three more opened in the city. Now, the creative taco joint has spread from its hometown — they opened shop in Cincinnati in April, right across from the Reds' stadium on The Banks. The regional chain also has multiple locations in Pittsburgh.

They commit to the build-your-own tacos concept down to the type of tortillas — each taco is $3.50-$4.50 with plenty of enticing options. The formula is simple: check off what you want on your taco, then it is brought out to you, creating a relaxed dining experience.

For protein, customers have several options (even ones for vegetarians!) — like housemade chorizo, Thai chili tofu, barbecue pulled jackfruit, ghost-pepper-marinated steak and more. They’ve got toppings, too; cilantro and onions, jicama and cabbage slaws and more.

The cheese is not forgotten either; they offer queso fresco, Middlefield smoked cheddar, and Chihuahua. Salsa? They got it, with a variety of flavors made fresh every day just like their selection of sauces. Drizzle some chipotle crema on your taco, or maybe ghost pepper, and yes, they have guacamole.

Rejoice: They serve brunch during the weekends (11 a.m.-3 p.m.). Rise and shine with a wake-n-bake, aka a soft tortilla, corn, chorizo gravy and biscuit crumble. Or, chow down on a packed bowl, complete with breakfast potatoes. In to bacon? Get the peezler. Add scrambled eggs for free to any dish.

Condado’s also made its mark because of their delicious housemade margaritas, which come in several fruity and spicy variations.  With a range of other cocktails, they have proven they’re all about tacos, tequila, and margaritas. Get them half-price during happy hour from 4 -7 p.m. Monday- Friday.

Meat-lover or lifelong vegan, they have something for everyone. And, they pride themselves on their fresh ingredients and a menu made in-house every day, right down to the last tortilla chip.
