Liberty’s Bar & Bottle

1427 Main St., Over-the-Rhine
Liberty’s offers the best of both the bar and the bottle with 20 rotating craft beers on tap and 15 wines available by the glass — including half-pours — along with 100 bottles of wine and 40 craft beers via retail. Dogs are welcome and you’ll frequently find one or two sleeping under their owners’ stools at the bar. Bring a pet along and they’ll get to slurp up a water bowl while you sip on an IPA and admire their sleek interior.

Revel OTR

This urban winery boasts a selection of housemade wines as well as features from other wineries. Hungry? Revel offers several different shareable bites like warmed olives or three-layer dip, as well as flatbreads and crostinis. For those wishing to get a little cheesy, they can order up a meaty board fully equipped with cured meats and artisan cheeses.

Crafts & Vines

642 Main St., Covington
A great wine and beer store. The shop has more than a dozen different beers and wines on draft, and all of the beer is from Kentucky and Ohio. Order a Truck Stop Charcuterie board with your bevs and munch down on pimento cheese, house made jerky and maple bacon Sriracha.

The Skeleton Root

A working winery and event space in OTR that pays homage to Cincinnati’s wine history by producing heritage and French and European style wines, crushed and aged on site. Wines are produced in-house with minimal intervention, showcasing the terroir of the fruit in bottles of red, white and even rosé wine. The tasting room, with its beautiful illustration of grape harvesters on a Cincinnati hillside, is a perfect backdrop for happy hour.

Currently operating as carry-out only, this OTR spot is typically run as eclectic coffee shop by day and wine bar by night. During non-COVID times, try the wine flights, which double as both alcohol and a game.
