Habitat Skateboards along with We Have Become Vikings hosted a Twin Peaks pop-up shop, with skateboards, apparel and accessories based on the cult classic TV series. Board designs included a portrait of beloved Log Lady holding her, er, log (it has something to tell you); a very dreamy Audrey Horne; Dale Cooper himself chillin' in the Black Lodge; the Double R Diner (I hear it's where pies go when they die); and the catalyst of it all a smiling Laura Palmer. (Take a look at Habitat's Twin Peaks offerings here.)
Friday (Nov. 30), We Have Become Vikings' Over-the-Rhine shop at 1355 Walnut St. transformed into an immersive pop-up space inspired by Twin Peaks. Guests could take a backward selfie in a Black Lodge photo booth, imitate Audrey's dance moves via the music of local band Tweens who preformed in their own Bang Bang Bar and sip on brews from Platform Beer Co. Guests could also channel their inner Coop with coffee black as midnight on a moonless night via Collective Espresso.
The pop-up coincided with WHBV's Viking Lounge Series, aka monthly concerts often showcasing local bands. Past artists include Swim Team, Leggy and The Ophelias.
