Bobby
Age: 2 Years / Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
”Introducing Bobby. He is a 2 year old Blue Heeler mix who weighs around 40 lbs. Bobby loves car rides, zoomies in the backyard and snuggle time. Bobby knows commands such as sit, stay and is potty trained. This sweet boy is great on a leash and loves to go for neighborhood walks. He does good in a crate but doesn’t willingly go in, a little treat bribing always works! Bobby loves to play with his two foster sisters, 15 pound schnauzer mix and 110 pound Newfoundland. Due to his herding breed he can be nippy during play, be he is easily redirected. He would probably prosper best in a home with older kids. Bobby has been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease. This means as he ages the signs and symptoms of lyme may show up and need treatment, but may never have signs or symptoms.”

Sawyer
Age: 4 Months / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation
“In a word: Perfect! This big handsome boy is affectionate, sweet, playful, and chill. Sawyer greets you with chirpy little meows when you come in the room and will purr and flop over the minute you start petting him. He likes his belly and back rubbed--he'll roll over and over while you do it. He is the easy going one of his litter, never too feisty or crazy. He loves chasing balls and his favorite game is chasing food pellets across the floor. He also loves the circular tower toy with a ball in the track. When he is not running about with his siblings, he is more affectionate and is likely snuggle up with you on the bed or couch. As he does like wrestling with his sisters, Delilah and Jemma, he would do well with a playmate. This gray tabby and white boy loves looking out the window at birds and chirping. He enjoys the company of other cats and would be a good fit with kids.”

Pumpkin Pie
Age: 3 Years / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program
“Do you have a window sill that you can share with a beautiful calico cat? Pumpkin Pie is a sweet kitty who shares her happiness by purring loudly. She likes to lounge on a high perch (get the back of the couch ready for her!), will lay beside you looking for a belly rub, and is also a playful kitty. She's happy to chase a laser pointer or bat around a toy, but she is not a kitty that is likely to be in your face, begging for attention. At three years old, Pumpkin Pie gives you the best of all worlds: she's put her youth behind her and still has a long life of adulthood in front of her. She's got good looks for days and will make someone a lovely family kitty. Pumpkin Pie weighs around 8 pounds and does not seem prone to weight gain or overeating--she has been free feeding in her foster home. Pumpkin Pie is great with children and is not bothered by loud sounds or quick movements. She is a quiet cat that is rarely vocal. Pumpkin Pie is good with other cats, and has not been fostered with dogs, although best guesses indicate that Pumpkin Pie is an agreeable kitty who could acclimate to many different living environments. Pumpkin Pie came to SAAP as a mama of nine kittens. She was a dutiful and loving mama to her large litter, and her kittens have moved on to their forever homes. It's Pumpkin Pie's turn now.”

Rusty
Age: 3 Years / Breed: Chihuahua Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
“Rusty is a 3 year old chihuahua mix. He weighs 13 lbs and loves to go on walks. He's a snuggler who loves being on the couch under a blanket. He is being fostered with 2 dogs bigger than him and he has some jealousy issues. These issues can be managed with boundaries and patience. He's a very sweet dog. He's crate trained and potty trained with occasional accidents. Rusty would love a home where he gets lots of attention and exercise, and doesn't have kids. He enjoys exploring new places and finding things to sniff.”

Pack Mule
Age: 1 Year / Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Sex: Male / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program
“Welcome back Pack Mule. Pack Mule (knows Tucker) is a 1yo boxer/terrier mix being returned for being too rough with the older dogs in the house. He is typically good with dogs, but is a rough player, high energy, and a bit full of himself (dominant). He could use structure, boundaries, and a way to get all his energies out. He is housebroken and crate trained”

Possum
Age: Kitten / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Purrfect Friends
“Possum & his siblings were originally found down in a sewer, unable to get out! They were rescued by lowering a squirrel trap down into the opening until each kitten was saved! Mom cat was also trapped & spayed too. Possum & his sister Cardi ended up with Purrfect Friends. They are both sweet babies & are thankfully none the worse off from having a rough uncertain start. Cardi & Opossum are healthy, both are always purring & they love each other. We would love to keep them together if possible. Possum is a laid back boy & is very affectionate.”

Reno
Age: 8 Months / Breed: Domestic Short Hair/ Sex: Female / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation
“Reno has beaten the odds! She is one a litter with three orange females, a very special occurrence. Her “sunshine city” sisters are Vegas and Miami; she also has a little brother, Orlando. A beautiful striped tabby, the shy Reno is still learning to trust us and requires a very peaceful home with someone dedicated to helping build her confidence. She is a gentle soul who likes toys but is still inclined to hang back and watch the action. We bet that you will fall in love with this timid little girl, rescued with her litter-mates from a treacherous road. Will you take a gamble on Reno today?”

Carly
Age: Senior / Breed: Saint Bernard / Sex: Female / Rescue: Adoption First Animal Rescue
“Carly is a big girl weighing over 120, and is a Saint Bernard. She lived in a basement all her life, and came to the shelter extremely matted. Once the shelter was able to clip her fur, there was SIXTEEN pounds of matted fur. She is the sweetest soul, who loves everyone. She is great with other dogs, but will do best with larger breed dogs. She loves to run on the farm, and even likes to swim. She is potty trained, and roams the house. She prefers a nice comfy bed next to your bed to sleep in at night.”

Tatum
Age: 9 Years / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female/ Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation
“Tatum was rescued with her brother Terry when the bar they called home was being torn down. Thankfully they were rescued in time and can always have a home at STAF. But we know Tatum would prefer a quiet, sunny spot and a soft bed in your home! This beautiful black and white kitty has a spunky disposition and would love a life filled with head rubs and snuggle time with you. As she sometimes nibbles on fingers to get the attention of her peeps, Tatum might be happiest in home without small children. This charmer has absolutely gorgeous markings and check out that beauty mark! Come in and meet Tatum today!”

Zorro
Age: 3 Years / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Neighborhood Cat Helpers
“I’m Zorro and I'm a very friendly guy. I was one of 6 kittens removed from an elderly woman’s shed in Silverton. I was captured and reunited with my brothers, sisters, and mom in a foster home. It was a very stressful time for all of us. I share a kennel with my brother, Oreo, and sister, Goldie. I’m a real lover boy! I get so excited when I see my foster mom that I roll over on my back. I talk and purr – hope you don’t mind. I like being held and look forward to a permanent home where I can be out and about all the time. I get along with other cats and kittens too, but would love to go to my permanent home with a brother or sister.”

Brynn
Age: Puppy / Breed: Miniature Pinscher/Hound Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Adoption First Animal Rescue
“Brynn is just the sweetest little puppy who loves to give kisses and play but he is special needs and looking for his forever family! Brynn was found dumped behind a restaurant with his siblings, luckily a nice person found him and got him to Adoption First! He was born with a congenital defect and has trouble walking, but that doesn't stop him from having a normal puppy life! He also has a cleft lip but has no trouble eating. Don't let his disability fool you, he acts like any regular puppy and gets around the house great, including stairs.
He loves to play with his foster siblings and run around the house and in the yard! He does have a hard time walking on a leash, so a fenced in yard is a must for him to run around to get exercise. His ideal home will also have another dog for him to play with, but one that won't play too rough with him. He is a very social little guy and gets a lot of his exercise by playing with his foster siblings. He enjoys playing with his toys and getting love from his foster mom, but also loves laying on his bed by the fireplace when he isn't playing.”

Rocky
Age: Senior / Breed: Rottweiler / Sex: Male / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program
“Rocky is a big, silly guy that will sometimes still play like a puppy, a very obedient puppy! He weighs around 110 pounds and doesn't always realize his strength and power. He loves his cozy dog bed, soft blankets, treats, riding in the car, going for walks, attention and butt scratches from his people, and toys. He loves playing fetch and tug. It's so cute when he gets giddy, gallops around, and is super happy- he has the best smile. He makes really adorable sounds when you get home, he wants to do something, or he's just really excited- sometimes like Chewbacca. Rocky would do best as an only dog. This guy really likes to take baths- he can be found sitting pretty in the bathroom or even standing in the bathtub looking at the faucet wondering why the water is not coming out when he wants it to. He would do better in a home without kids or one with older kids that understand his boundaries. He is wonderfully housebroken and crate trained. Rocky has been through professional training, so is great on a leash, knows heel, auto-sit, sit, down, stay, and head and hand motions. His adoption will include sessions with his trainer. Most importantly, he needs a patient person or family that gives him space to get used to his new people. It is well worth the wait though because he makes the best companion once he trusts you and knows you respect his boundaries. He can be nervous around strangers and doesn't like to be touched/reached for by strangers straight away upon meeting them. He is such a loving creature to his people, extremely handsome, and provides endless laughter, smiles and entertainment!”

Nugget
Age: 1.5 Years / Breed: Rat Terrier/Dachshund Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
“Nugget is a 1 ½ year-old male dog who weighs approximately 12 pounds. He is a rat terrier and dachshund mix, whose soft brown eyes and snuggling tendencies may melt your heart. He loves to be near people, encouraging you to pet him or rub his head, will lay next to you on the couch or curl at your feet while you work from home. He likes to play a short game of fetch and loves peanut butter. Like many terriers, he loves to burrow under a blanket and create his own cocoon for sleeping. He is potty-trained, and is working on crate training. He easily will go into a crate while you eat a meal as long as you are still at home. He loves to go on short walks, curious about the smells and other animals he sees, and would love a chance to chase a squirrel or bird. His moderate energy, relaxed demeanor, warm personality makes his a great addition to your family.”

Jemma
Age: 4 Months / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation
“In a word: Unique! Jemma is very beautiful, like a pointy-featured Russian Blue. She is the shy one of her siblings and was initially quite skittish. She warmed up in her former foster home in a couple weeks and is now a quiet girl who lives for face rubs. She likes the sides of her face and back of her head rubbed and starts purring when she's comfortable. Jemma comes over for pets if you talk quietly to her. She's an independent girl who likes to play with her toys by herself and loves a window perch where she can curl up to sleep. She would require dedicated attention but make an undemanding friend. Jemma sometimes wrestles with her siblings and chases them around, but she is a little more reserved. She would prefer a quiet, peaceful household without children or dogs in which to thrive.”

JoJo
Age: 6 Years / Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation
“Jojo is a petite, 6 yr old pibble that is ready for a cozy spot in your house! She arrived at the shelter a very scared girl who had been spent way too much time in a crate. She was withdrawn and lonely. What a change a volunteer fan club and positive based training can make! Jojo likes short walks in the park, tennis balls, green beans and soft blankets. She is looking for someone that enjoys tossing balls, car rides, and couch snuggles but she is an independent girl and does not mind quiet time alone, either! She does great in the home and has spent many hours at home with volunteers where she is the perfect houseguest. Jojo loves sniffing and exploring outside and has great leash manners on a walk but does not require marathons. She can be anxious in new situations (a quieter home environment would be best) but her world has gotten so much bigger and she has many fans at the shelter that have helped her gain confidence with activities and outings. The Trainer thinks she may want to be the only pup in your life so no dog parks for this diva as they can be a little overwhelming for her but she is happy and well behaved around leashed dogs and is a regular at many area parks and pet stores.”

She is a huge cuddle bug & wiggle butt and will give you all of her love, hoping to be loved back unconditionally.”

Delilah
Age: 4 Months / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female/ Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation
“In a word: Spunky! Delilah (Dee Dee) is a pretty gray tabby with the sweetest most delicate features, but don't let that fool you. She is a sassy girl! She is the brave one of of the litter, always trying things first and being nosy. Delilah is a curious kitten for sure. She loves attacking her siblings and sometimes does the same to your knee or shoes, but she is easily distracted with toys. She solicits attention and likes being petted—she'll purr to show you how happy she is. Delilah does not love being picked up and will leap out of your arms except when she's feeling affectionate. Nevertheless, she does climb on your lap. She is super cute when she plays fetch with felt balls and brings them back for you to throw. She also LOVES a string wand toy, which she carries around in her mouth, growling at everyone to warn them it's hers. As Delilah can play a tad rough, small children would not be a good fit with this lively kitty. Warning: this athletic girl would win a high jump competition! ”

Ginger (Hocus)
Age: Young / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Little Hills of Kentucky Animal Rescue Inc
“This cute guy is a very curious cat and loves to roam around and check things out. He loves having his ears and cheeks rubbed and is very playful and loves his cat toy with feathers. He also doesn't mind other cats or dogs and does well with kids. He will come up to be pet and receive attention. He purrs frequently and will meow when he misses you or wants your attention. He was picked up by a good Samaritan with his brother as a very young kitten and was generously sheltered until he was ready for his neuter. He is also available for adoption at a discount with his brother (pictured together) as a pair for $100. His brother is also listed individually as Butterscotch(Pocus).”
