"Meet Trevor - an older gentleman. Trevor was found in Texas, with a an old broken leg. He had no use of his leg, and our vets decided amputation was the best option. He gets around great, it doesn't even affect him. He is a super affectionate boy, who loves to cuddle. He is great with other dogs, and even likes goats. He enjoys kids, who have respect and boundaries. He does not like to share his toys or food, so he should be fed separately. He does love to run and sunbathe on the deck. He is working on house training, about 80% there. He does not usually kennel unless needed. Trevor would prefer another furry dog companion in the home."

"FLOOF ALERT! Meet Frankie, the softest and sweetest guy around. He may have spent his first 6 years of life at a puppy mill but youd never know it now. Frankie is sure to brighten anyones day with love and endless entertainment. You can find him playing or cuddling with his other foster dog siblings, curled up somewhere comfy, or coming to you for lots of pets. Potty training is still in progress (as expected for a dog from a puppy mill) but is coming along nicely when let out regularly. He is fully crate trained, youre sure to find him napping there throughout the day. While he will let you hold him as long as you want, he is awkward and unsure what to do when held, same goes for being on a leash. He has not mastered walking on a leash and may never. Frankie would be happiest with a fenced yard and another small dog in the home as a playmate/cuddle buddy. He has done well around cats, dogs (up to 60 lbs) and children over 8 (as long as they know to be gentle)."

Hash Brown

"HASH BROWN is a tiny tater with a big personality. He's a 1 year old 14 lb. chihuahua/terrier mix brimming with puppyish energy and enthusiasm. Hash Brown loves to run and play with other small dogs, and needs a home with a physically-fenced yard. He started life in an apartment, with no room to run, stuck in a crate most of the time. He's discovered the joy of exploring the great outdoors in his foster home, and he's so happy when he's romping in the yard. Hash Brown is a very smart boy and highly motivated by praise and treats, so he'll be fun to train. When playtime is over, Hash Brown loves to cuddle and is generous with his kisses. Hash Brown is shy around new dogs. He takes a few minutes to warm up, then he's fine as long as the other dog isn't too pushy. Hash Brown is not well suited to apartment or condo living and has too much youthful energy to be a lap dog. Hash Brown would prefer an active home with no small children."

Thor

"Meet Thor, a beautiful Pyrenees at about 2-4 years of age. Thor definitely has the Pyrenees size at about a hundred pounds. Thor is a poster child for the characteristics you often hear about associated with the Pyrenees breed. Thor is a big teddy bear who loves receiving head scratches from his person. He is very lackadaisical about any task in life and loves to complete those tasks at a leisurely pace. Either Thor doesn’t know his name very well or he is the typical Pyrenees in which he likes to ignore, we are going for the latter! Thor is an overall great dog and very low key in his foster home. He enjoys his stroll around the yard and would need a physical fence since Pyrenees do have some wanderlust. Thor is working on his typical dog training. He does great inside the crate and is very quiet. His potty habits are decent but since he is awaiting his neuter appt he does mark some. Thor also is learning how to walk on a leash. At the present he will not move on the leash. Foster mom can offer some practice tips to overcome that however it will take some time. He took to wearing a collar well, but didn’t seem to understand what exactly it was at first. Thor is also doing well meeting the other dogs in his foster home. He seems to be a bit of a ladies man, but when told to settle around them he does so very quickly and really doesn’t do anything but hover. Thor loves to play with the other pups in the home so if a furry friend is in his furever home they need to be tolerant of playtime. He has been doing well taking cues of when to back off with the senior pups though. Thor is Lyme positive so he will need to finish up his Lyme boosters in his adoptive home which can be completed at the rescue vet. Thor will need a regular yearly booster of Lyme due to this diagnosis. Lyme is a tick borne disease."

"I am a 3-year-old Shar-Pei mix weighing 55#. Don’t let my looks fool you, I am a big baby! I am friendly with people when I am not on my turf (house/yard). I will need time (and lots of treats) to warm up to a stranger. I walk well on a leash, but will react toward animals on a leash. I am animal aggressive in general and need to be an ONLY PET in the home. I have not been desensitized to small children. They kind of freak me out for some reason. Teens are cool :) What can I say I am a is a typical, poorly socialized Pei. My dominant and territorial nature is normal, but difficult to manage. I will require consistent follow through with my training including socialization with other dogs (on a leash on walks) and territorial behavior. Free in-home training comes with my adoption fee."

Let’s do it!! “Milo! “Wanna go for a ride?” YES! You read my mind! “Milo! Want a treat?” Amazing! Best news ever! But I’m getting ahead of myself… I’m an 11-year-old male papillon weighing 15 lbs. and losing. Weight that is. I’ve been walking off the ole L. B.’s if ya know what I mean. So far, I’m down TWO pounds in just a few weeks. Do you like walks? I like walks. No, wait. I looooove walks. I’m great on a leash too! I probably didn’t get walks where I came from so when my paws hit the grass and we start movin’ so does my wittle booty. I just wiggle in excitement. In fact, I’m quite the “dancer” these days, too. Now that I’ve become more active, Gene Kelly’s got nothing on me. When I get excited, I get the wiggles. I’ve been known to hop off the ground and wiggle in the air like a fish outta water.
