Brody
Age: 1 Years Old / Breed: Poodle / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy
”This is Brody! Brody is a one year old, 55 pound ball of energy! Brody is a sweet boy, but will require adopters with dog experience that are willing to seek professional training for this goofy guy. Brody would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard with a structured environment that allows a lot of time for play and exercise as he has a lot of energy to burn! His energy would likely be too much for a home with kids. Brody is fostered with dogs and cats, but will need a cat free permanent home. He does very well with other high energy dogs, but also wouldn't mind to be an only pet. Brody is crate trained and potty trained. He knows lots of commands and would do just about anything for a good smelling treat! This boy is looking for an experienced home willing to put some time and energy into getting him trained to be a great dog - he's got the personality, he just needs help with the manners! If adopting Brody sounds like something you might be interested in - apply today! His adoption fee is $250.”

Cloud Atlas
Age: 3 Months Old / Breed: Hound / Labrador Retriever / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy
”Meet Cloud Atlas! This feisty little dude is a 3 month old small breed hound mix who currently weighs close to 10lbs. In true ‘little dog’ fashion, Atlas is a whole lot of personality in a cute little package. He has yet to meet anyone he doesn’t want to play with, no matter the size, shape, age, gender or if they are human, canine or feline. This rascal loves to play hard and crash even harder, preferably curled up beside his favorite person. Atlas is crate trained and very close to being house broken. He will likely remain a small sized dog. Cloud Atlas' adoption fee is $400.”

Jonesy
Age: 7 Years Old / Breed: Chihuahua / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP
”Meet my buddy, Jonesy.
Stats: Male
12 lbs
Chihuahua-mix
Looking for love
Personality: Loving, snuggly, a bit jealous/possessive, choosy about his dog friends; prefers to be the only dog, ignores the cat, nervous around loud, fast moving, grabby young children; prefers children who are old enough to understand this about him.
He can be a bit grumbly when being picked up, but you just ignore it and he's happy with the end result; he'll lay his head on your shoulder as you gently sway with him.
Likes- A blanket to keep him warm and cozy, his crate, a sweater when it's chilly out, sleeping under the blanket with his human, FOOD, Benebones, flavor-it bones, treat balls and games, small ice cubes, walks, car rides, snuggling with his humans during evening tv time, healthy treats like carrots, green beans, blueberries, apples, and sweet potatoes.
Dislikes-
Things you should know: He can get a nervous stomach, give him a little pumpkin, he should either always be leash walked or picked up after when going out; he likes to hunt for "yard treats." He takes medicine like a champ, he will wave his paw at you and give you fives and fist bumps. His eyes and ears are so adorable and expressive. He lives with 6 dogs and they can get along fine, but there can also be friction. He's much happier and enjoyable as an only dog. He enjoys his crate as a retreat with a crate pad and soft blanket. His paws are super soft. He will mark things that are new or left out of place. I use a belly band when needed. He shouldn't be given too much room to roam from the start and a squirt bottle and sharp "no" is all you need to eliminate unwanted behavior. His nicknames are The Jones and Mr. Jones; for some reason, Mr. Jones grabs his attention quicker when he's being naughty.”

Lily
Age: 4 Years Old / Breed: Welsh Corgi, Cardigan / Sex: Female / Rescue: SAAP
”Meet Lily 2. Lily is the reason I foster. She is a young former mama and was removed from her home by an Animal Control Officer. She still is coming out of her shell, but so far I can tell you she is pee pad trained, doesn't need a crate and loves other dogs. She actually would do best in a house with another dog because she is scared of people. She is slowly learning to trust me and takes treats out of my hand, but hasn't let me pet her yet. Stay tuned for more updates and when she'll be ready for adoption! #adoptlily2 www.adoptastray.com.”

”Noah is an adorable 5-ish year old, 30-ish pound Beagle mix who was found as a stray. We don't know much about his past but he is good with other dogs/cats, and rode to HART just fine in a crate, without making a peep! Noah is very people friendly and appears to be house broken. He will need some work on leash training as he hesitates to walk on one but is making great strides! We look forward to getting to know more about him!”

”Meet Rudolph aka Rudy! Rudy is a 9 month old Australian Shepherd mix who weighs in around 30 lbs. This sweet boy is looking for a forever home who can give him the love he deserves and show him that humans can be trusted. Rudy is an extremely shy dog who takes some time to warm up to you. ”What's up, buddy! My name is Cole and I am around a year old. I am just a young fella, I just want to have fun.. Hiking, adventuring, maybe going for a run? I'm your guy! Or if you're the more laid-back type... I can do that too. I'm very versatile, I just want a home of my own, and a family to go with it. Maybe even with a yard to run in! I am a big guy at 65 pounds, but don't worry - it's 65 pounds of LOVE! Do you think you could be the person for me? Please be prepared for crate training and housebreaking, as the staff isn't sure on much of my history. But like... dude. Cats? I'm not a fan of cats, and I've got to live in a CAT FREE HOME. ”Hi Friends! My name is Royce...Rolls Royce. I am just a big old handsome goof! The staff here says I'm a big love and a giant play baby, but I don't really understand how big I am. ”Wrigley is my name and being wiggly is my game! I'm a big, bouncy 2 year old boy who can't wait to run around and wrestle with you! Since I'm a big, active boy, I would make an excellent running buddy. I'd love a big yard to run around in. I'm currently undergoing heart worm treatment, but that's no big deal! It just means I have to try really hard to be calm and rest during my treatment and then I can go back to bouncing around with my new family! If you'd like to be my new family, ask to meet me today!”

Rocky 2
Age: 8 Years Old / Breed: Rottweiler / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP
”Rocky is a big, silly guy that will sometimes still play like a puppy, a very obedient puppy! He weighs around 110 pounds and doesn't always realize his strength and power. He loves his cozy dog bed, soft blankets, treats, riding in the car, going for walks, attention and butt scratches from his people, and toys. He loves playing fetch and tug. It's so cute when he gets giddy, gallops around, and is super happy- he has the best smile. He makes really adorable sounds when you get home, he wants to do something, or he's just really excited- sometimes like Chewbacca. Rocky would do best as an only dog. This guy really likes to take baths- he can be found sitting pretty in the bathroom or even standing in the bathtub looking at the faucet wondering why the water is not coming out when he wants it to. He would do better in a home without kids or one with older kids that understand his boundaries. He is wonderfully housebroken and crate trained. Rocky has been through professional training, so is great on a leash, knows heel, auto-sit, sit, down, stay, and head and hand motions. His adoption will include sessions with his trainer. Most importantly, he needs a patient person or family that gives him space to get used to his new people. It is well worth the wait though because he makes the best companion once he trusts you and knows you respect his boundaries. He can be nervous around strangers and doesn't like to be touched/reached for by strangers straight away upon meeting them. He is such a loving creature to his people, extremely handsome, and provides endless laughter, smiles and entertainment!”

Spot
Age: 10 Years Old / Breed: Terrier, Pit Bull / Sex: Male / Rescue: SAAP
”Spot came to SAAP when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him.
Upon arrival he had a mass removed from his boy-parts which turned out to be benign!
He had kennel cough and an ear infection.
All of that is behind him now but Spot has what is called Ataxia. It is a neurological deficit which causes an abnormal gait!
We are not sure what the cause of it stems from. He is not in any discomfort or pain.
He walks fine on level surfaces but he can lose his balance a bit when the terrain is uneven. Sometimes this results in staggering, sometimes he falls.
He runs like a mogul skier when he is trying to go fast.
Spot has a zest for life and love that nothing can stop! He is the sweetest boy and will sit and give paw without even a request. He loves to walk, loves to toss his toys and loves to be with his people.
Spot is a super chill 10 year old Pit Bull mix who is dog-friendly, kid-friendly but not a fan of cats although he really pays no attention to them when we are on walks.
He is a great co-pilot in the car!
If you would like Spot to be your co-pilot go to www.adoptastray.com and fill out an application. Once approved we can set up a meet and greet! You will fall in love with his wonky, happy self??”
