While it may not be the first thing on your mind in these uncertain times, pets are still looking for their forever homes. According to a post by Cincinnati adoption agency Louie's Legacy, “It’s not only safe to keep pets in the home, but also beneficial, as they can serve as a source of comfort during a crisis. The companionship of pets has been shown to reduce stress and lower anxiety, helping people to feel calmer and more secure when the news from the outside world is distressing.”
While Louie’s Legacy has canceled special adoption events coming up, they're still conducting pet adoptions and seeking foster homes. From their website: "We are fully operational remotely, and our commitment to animal welfare remains the same. Adoptions will be conducted under modified circumstances during this time, so please continue to apply to foster and adopt pets, as the need for animal rescue is always present."
Louie's Legacy, as well as plenty of other pet rescues, have many adoptable furbabies of all ages and breeds that are in need of families to love. But right now we're going to focus on some very cute puppies.
